Del Sur

Del Sur encompasses approximately 1,410 acres and is part of much larger Black Mountain Ranch Community.  Development of Del Sur started in 2006 and has been an evolutionary process, with many constituencies involved. Del Sur is now home to more than 2,000 families.

There are 14 parks & 11 pools exclusively for Del Sur residents. Ranch House is the very first building at Del Sur. Built with local and recycled materials, the Ranch House earned San Diego’s first Platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for new construction from the US Green Building Council in 2007. Ranch House Features library, conference room, kitchen and indoor/outdoor event space.

Del Sur Elementary School(K-5) and Del Norte High School(9-12) are located in Del Sur, the top-rated schools in the highly acclaimed Poway Unified School District. Oak Valley Middle School(6-8) is located just three miles east of Del Sur. Design39 Campus, a new K-8 school in the celebrated Poway Unified District, is also located in Del Sur, the school’s 156,000 square feet feature 56 teaching stations, a gym/pavilion, an amphitheater, a fitness trail and more. The school’s architectural design team concentrated on flexibility of space, use of natural light and technology. Covering 22 acres, the campus can accommodate 1,500 students.
